Working Sick

Took meds last night, meds again this morning due to muscle aches.

Breakfast:

oatmeal + flax meal + raisins + Silk; toast + tuna + vegenaise; 1/2 cup minestrone soup; chocolate Silk

Lunch:

minestrone soup; tuna + vegenaise ww sandwich; chocolate Silk; ?

Snacks:

rice crispy treats manufactured snack; cheese & cracker manufactured snack crackers

A Melange

Two busy to post this personal food diary for several days. Thursday we were served Italian food at work, heavy in refined flour, animal fats, and delicious. Especially the penne in alfredo sauce and the meatballs.

Friday we had a work potluck with mine the only truly vegetarian entree.

I've noticed peculiar bodily sensations from excess sugars, salt, fats and meat. Hard to describe, kind of jazzed, icky, sometimes headachy. The caffiene the last two days also didn't help.

Seems as if this level of self indulgence gets short term pleasure but long term ick.

Sunday, Naw-Ruz

Breakfast [Naw-Ruz Potluck Breakfast]:

lot of eggs as in quiches, meat, cheese, potatoes, fruit; one serving of vegetables; a waffle, a biscuit; my red beans and rice . . .

Water at Carpenter's.

Dinner:

Naw-Ruz dinner with Lakewood Community at Mona's on 6th Avenue:

Green salad with ranch dressing; Quartto Fromaggio i.e. baked spaghetti with a lot of cheese and a little tomato sauce; Sprite.

Even Better

Very Late Breakfast:

toasted English muffin w/ Earth Balance

Late Lunch:

fried oysters, onion rings, hot dog split and fried, on a bun, 1/4 cup coleslaw, lemon ice cream shake

At Feast:

two small pieces pepperoni pizza, 1/2 cup tabouli, salad, pineapple juice

Very Late Dinner:

small serving red beans and rice

two muffins with soy milk; pecans

Friday One of the Worst Days This Month

Breakfast:

I can't remember

Lunch:

steak [medium, so very dry and tough] + "Cheese Bread" doughy on one side and crusty on the other with that faky cheese taste + salad + baked potato with sour cream and butter on the side. Not very satisfying

Dinner:

potatoes with onions, garlic, tomatoes; one veggie patty

Crazy Friday

I had a 6 AM mandatory charge nurse meeting. GIGGY.

Breakfast: apple juice, 1/2 bowl oatmeal+ raisins + flax meal + Silk. Leftover ramen with corn.

Lunch: vegetables, tofu, rice from Hot Teriyaki.

Snack: applesauce, several Girl Scout shortbread cookies [We were doing three admissions together, charting, never got dinner.]

Midnight Dinner, sort of: heated up tomato soup from lunch. Apple. Fell asleep.

Crazy Thursday

Breakfast: english muffin + EB, juice?

Lunch: Subway veggie toasted sandwich, sans cheese; cheese potato chips; Sprite

Dinner A: Ramen with corn, chicken flavoring, sesame oil and seasoned rice vinegar

Dinner B: Shari's: potato soup with sour cream, cheese, bacon pieces; Alfredo pasta with mushrooms, minus chicken; Sprite

I realized I have a memory, a strong one, of liking these cheesy, creamy things with refined flour. They don't have much taste any more compared to vegetables and whole grains.

Post Dinner:

1 1/2 grilled havarti cheese sandwiches with Earth Balance & ww bread; 3 X 1/4 inch slices salami; a large dill pickle; a cup cream of spinach soup

Day Off With Trip to Therapist, Lunch, Haircut, Hancock

Breakfast:

Part one: 1/4 to 1/2 cup mixed pecans and raisins

Part two: egg mcmuffin. Disappointing.

Lunch:

Vegetables a la Crema [Pollo a la Crema sin pollo.] Served with rice and black beans and two small flour tortillas. Sprite. Chips and Salsa.
